We are happy to invite you to the next RoboCafé on Tuesday 22 October on the first floor of RoboValley. This month’s edition is about human-robot interaction and we have some great speakers!

First, Wietse van Dijk from TNO will present the project they’re working on in RoboHouse. Van Dijk will explain how robots and augmented reality can be used to improve the workplace: how augmented reality can be used for work instruction and coordination with other actors in the workplace and how robots can take over repetitive tasks from workers.

Next, we give the floor to Luka Peternel, Assistant Professor in the Department of Cognitive Robotics at TU Delft. He will share his current research on control methods for human-robot co-manipulation that account for human ergonomics and physical fatigue. To achieve an adaptive and context-aware robot behaviour in physical interaction with humans and the environment, Peternel and his team developed a control framework that includes a hybrid interaction controller and a multi-modal human-robot interface.

Sounds interesting, right? Come to RoboValley HQ on the 22nd to get all the latest insights on human-robot interaction and catch up with the robotics community! Of course, beer and bitterballen are provided for.
